Ayurveda simply means “knowledge of life” and has been practiced for over 5,000 years using techniques to enrich the physical body, soul and spirit with proper nutrition, meaningful exercise and meditation. Ayurveda is considered to be a holistic approach using these techniques to address imbalances in the mind, body and spirit otherwise known as “doshas”.
Ayurveda is not a diet regimen. It does not limit calories, carbohydrates and fats. Instead it treats imbalances (which includes being overweight) with proper nutrition for each dosha.
Ayurveda is a lifestyle approach to what works best for each individual and therefore, is not a one-size-fits-all. The goal is to make you happier, healthier and more at peace with yourself and your surroundings. It is the ultimate ability for the individual to heal itself with nature.
